Critters indigenous to the area

Located in the desert southwest at 4,000 feet of elevation, Ruby Star Airpark is home to 
many species not found at lower elevations in Arizona.

Almost everyday this Common Raven comes to the fountain east of Ruby Airpark Drive for water.

These are "bad" beetles that literally suck the life out of plants. 
If you have ornamental plants and see one of these, flick it off!

Elegant Earless Lizard
Are diurnal and spend much of their time basking.
Their diet consists of insects and spiders.

Gila Monster
A venomous, slow moving lizard native to the southwest.
These creatures grow up to two feet long.

Gulf Fritillary is also known as the Passion Butterfly

Hooded Oriole - is found in the southwest from Texas to California

Regal Horned Lizard - spiny, ant eating lizards

Common Kingsnake
These creatures use constriction to kill their prey which includes rodents and other snakes.

Road Runner
This two foot bird gets its name from the bird's habit of racing down roads.
